Join the choir
Membership Terms
Questors Choir exists to provide equal learning and performance opportunities for singers of mixed ability, ages and background. Membership is open to all at the discretion of the Musical Director, who may also require any member who he feels is insufficiently prepared not to sing in a public performance. Such a decision would be made no less than 3 weeks before the concert.
Simply turn up 10 minutes before the start of any of our Wednesday rehearsals and ask for the Choir Membership Secretary. We will take your details, answer questions that you may have about becoming a choir member and also make sure that you get some music.
We welcome all singers capable of reading music or willing to practise at home, using the MP3/MIDI files provided, and newcomers may attend up to three rehearsals on a “no commitment” mutual trial basis before deciding whether or not to take up full membership.
No joining fee is due until membership is offered and accepted at the end of the three-week trial period. However, please note that a music deposit of £10 is required from all prospective members at the start of the first rehearsal. Loss or damage to music scores may be charged against this. The music deposit will be refunded in full on request if not forfeited and if membership is not taken up.
The group prides itself on its friendly, dynamic and informal atmosphere, but punctuality and regular attendance are expected from all members.
